In light of the ongoing uncertainty due to COVID-19, the 2022 Ottawa Region Charity & Not-for-Profit Law Seminar will continue to be held virtually this year. This means that once again, you can participate from the comfort and safety of your office or home. Each topic will be 20 minutes in length, with the exception of 30 minutes each for our special guest speakers. The webinar will be presented in 2 one-and-a-half hour sessions with a 15 minute break  starting at 9:00 am and finishing at approximately 12:40 pm EST. A question period will be held at the end of the second session.

The special guest speakers this year will be The Honourable Ratna Omidvar, C.M., O.Ont., Senator for Ontario and Former Deputy Chair of the Special Senate Committee on the Charitable Sector, as well as Melissa Shaughnessy, Director of the Compliance Division of the Charities Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency.

This year, the cost of registration for this webinar has been kept at $20.00 per person to make sure that as many people can attend as possible. The registration fee covers the cost of the Event Stream Online Platform that is being used to ensure a smooth and professional online webinar experience from multiple locations. Please note that On Demand Replay will not be made available to the general public, so the only way to access the presentations will be to register for the webinar.

This webinar is eligible for 3.0 substantive hours towards the annual Law Society of Ontario (LSO) CPD and CPA Professional Development requirements.
